What services do you offer?
Great question! Poindexter provides tech support and computer repair solutions to Hampden and surrounding areas in Baltimore, Maryland. Tech support and repairs are available locally with free on-site consultations. See our services page for more details on individual services and pricing. We specialize in malware removal, OS optimizations, and hardware repair or upgrades, but will gladly tackle almost any project.
We also provide comprehensive web services, including web hosting, website design and development, email, search marketing (SEO) and oodles of other virtual goodies. Poindexter’s full service options are ideal for small businesses that need an IT wizard to help out from time to time, but can’t bear the overhead of a dedicated or contracted IT service provider (they’re expensive!).
That’s alot. We consider computers and access to technology to be a right, not a privilege, and everyone should be able to get the help they need, when and where they need it. For businesses, our call is to cut out as many middle-men as possible, positioning Poindexter as the one, final solution to all of your businesses’ technology needs.

Poindexter techs are eager-to-help, obsessive puzzle solvers with a knack for computery stuff and will gladly take on almost any project, big or small. And with our free consultations, there’s no risk in reaching out.
How much do you charge?
Only what’s fair.
Poindexter is one part business, one part community service, and one part start-up accelerator. Our goal is to provide quick, effective support to people and businesses in need, whether its the CEO of a multi-national business or a cost-conscious college student. Like people, computers get sick. The internet gets congested. Hard drives stutter and choke. Working with Poindexter will be a relief and not its own problem. Aren’t you tired of getting scalped for services you can’t live without or maybe never needed in the first place? Us, too.
Excluding the cost of parts (when needed), typical computer repairs will never be more than $150 for labor and our quickie fixes are only $50. Most lab services are billed a flat rate, not hourly, so there’s never a question about the cost. Other services are billed a low hourly rate of $30 after the first hour of service. This is for advanced stuff, on-site troubleshooting, or projects that don’t have a flat fee. Naturally, we’ll tell you what the total cost will be – Poindexter is terrible at sales and we hate being pushy.
We accept all major credit cards, but cash or check is preferred. Paying by credit includes a small convenience fee of $4.00. Gratuity is accepted, never expected.

We can either fix your PC or Mac on location or, if needs be, transfer your device to our lab for safe repair and return it to you as soon as the job is done. You only pay the service fee, nothing extra for delivery. Simple math and straight forward billing.

If we can, yes.
For some problems, like malware removal, we can’t promise you won’t get reinfected. That’s a bit like a car wash guaranteeing you won’t get dirty again; it’s up to how you drive your car. But for those things we can control, like hardware repairs and software installations, we’re happy to offer a 30 day guarantee. Although we don’t do much troubleshooting over the phone, Poindexter computer techs are pretty awesome at email support, and our on-site consultations are always free. If you run into trouble, we’re happy to help out. We wan’t you to love your computer.
